A very sweet, large, cone-shaped pepper that is named after a beautiful mountain in Argentina, where the pepper is originated! The Aconcagua pepper plant can grow close to 3 feet tall and will likely need to be supported because the pods are heavy. Just to put in perspective of how heavy the Aconcagua chili is, the pods can grow to as long as 12” and 2 ½ wide! The giant Aconcagua pepper will ripen from green to orange to a red color, and you can eat it at any stage but it’s the juiciest at its full ripe red stage. You will taste delicious, fruity flavor (some say it tastes like apples) and you can expect a crisp crunch when you bite it fresh. Try adding this pepper as a topping for your next burger grill-out!
